NEW: Veran (TLOZ Oracle of Ages) - MrPr1993's N64 Models
#1
I'm posting this here to let ya'll know that I'll be submitting custom N64-style models. And as such, I'll be showing the first one:
Professor Elvin Gadd from the Mario Games (plus Luigi's Mansion) - modeled and given a N64 look.

I actually used up his existing Gamecube model, and decreased all of his polygons to match SM64 Mario's. The arms and legs are Mario's, resized and remodeled to match his proportions, and his nose is of Mario's, and the whole model's retextured from scratch to match the N64. This contains 4 32x32 textures (may not look like it but yeah)

This one includes a OBJ and a SketchUp 8 file. They're already set in a zip file.

Since this is the first time I'm posting this here, I gotta know how to submit this.

If it's acceptable, I got other model ideas I would make as well. (thought of Shantae and Wreck-It-Ralph), modeled in a N64 look.

And if the VG resource has a Discord server, lemme know!

Current next model I'm workin' on: Shovel Knight

I think he actually looks a bit TOO detailed for N64. Am I wrong?

There's are actually pretty faithful for standard N64-like models, I have to say. I really, REALLY like them.

Have you thought of uploading them to the Models Resource? As there's a custom models section on there.
I like to make models in my free time. I also make weird games, too.

Models in general take a quite a bit to be accepted, since it has to be looked at in a 3D editor (I assume), and there is only so many staff reviewing them. Patience is pretty much the key for that.

That's a right! And I hope dem models gets accepted.

Come to think of it, will they be accepted if they're in a zip folder containing a OBJ file and a Sketchup file?

Because of the upcoming Death Battle and from already making Shovel Knight, why not?

Used Scrooge's Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep model and low poly'd it to this! Boy was that a tough one.

It'll feature an alt' palette in the Models Resource version!

These models just keep getting better and better.

There is some way to optimize polygons, though. Such as not making each moving limb a different shape (Notable on legs). Only early N64 games really did that due to not having bone and vertex animations during their time. Unless you're going for the earlier style, that is.

That's what I'm going for; the earlier style.

EDIT: I believe I need help submitting the model to Resource; since there's no Game in there.
