The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for the DS

Well, there's cannons in PH and TP. Cannons are kinda like big guns.

I liked PH, but this is kind of ridiculous.

Honestly, I'm thinking these train sections are all "lol, on rail shooter". Then they get to the dungeon for epic win Zelda dungeon crawling, before beating up a boss in the Ocarina of Time fashion.

Makes the game more linear, but at least it's not Twilight Princess Repetitive.

but then again, this is only the first trailer.

Ugh.

What the fuck is nintendo doing? I can understand throwing in a bit of modernization into the zelda games, but having Link take that kind of role? Idea seems dumb as hell.

I think I might like this game, as long as it doesn't make you replay the same fucking dungeon like 20 times like in PH.

I love trains and boats/ships as much as I do Phantom Hourglass so chances are I'm going to love this game asgfsg

Phantom Hourglass had a steam boat. So a steam train doesn't seem that far off.

It appears he only wears that outfit when he's riding the rails.
Y'know the idea was a bit strange at first but I remembered that Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass had much to do with navigating to your destination. It doesn't seem like they changed that formula, its just the land version now.

Yeah, it didn't seem that far out there to me. I think I'm really going to enjoy this game. Tongue I loved Phantom Hourglass and.. yeah.
I'll admit though, when they showed Link waving around like a moron dressed in that costume.. I died a little on the inside..
But yeah, from the trailer, I think it looks like a pretty good game.

I'm curious as to the transition though. Do they just not bother mentioning the water, do they explain that they found their way to a huge continent or something?

Or maybe it's another Link that looks identical to WW Link and this story is completely unrelated. Because that Zelda didn't really look like Tetra

If you remember, their whole purpose of sailing off at the end of the Wind Waker was to find a new Hyrule. They must've found one then. Hm?

I'm thinking that this is a different Link than the one in WW.

Minish Cap and 4Swords also use Toon Link, but I highly doubt that they are the same Toon Link.

hmmm.... Apart from all the train bullshit the dungeons look pretty neat. i hope their's free roaming, i mean the DS can handle it.
Gotta say im looking forward to this. Hope nintendo decide to remove the train out fit though...

Why's it gotta be a train with a canon? And not Epona with a bow?

Hang on, when did nintendo become so casual?
this is a sig

Releasing another Zelda shortly after Phantom Hourglass?
Or they came with an incredible epifany to make an awesome Zelda, or there's some sort of connection with PH, or they're desperate to release something on the Nintendo DS.
