Yes. To elaborate, it's a "dating"/"life" sim a la Mass Effect or Persona. The mechs in the game are piloted by playing cards on a panel inside -- a foreign technology not created by man but founded by man. The cards are created from ones memories through "memospheres."
A little bit of lore for those interested; the man who found the technology found 20 mechs all together and all seemed to be unique in some way. The first card ever created by man was a memory of the founder's daughters death due to cancer. Man has since then figured out how to mass produce mediocre versions of the mechs and the cards and with a lot of backing can even produce more powerful ones. Out of the original 20 mechs, only 9 remain. The other 11 were dismembered in an attempt to reverse engineer the processes of how they work but they never came up with anything concrete. They stopped at 9 because there were 9 lead scientists on the project, and each one of the mechs were dedicated to a member on the team. Of these 9 mechs is the Quietus.
Man now uses this technology to wage most if not all wars.
