But if it's harder for these people to get guns then that's always a good thing. If someone REALLY wants to get a gun, they can get a gun. No matter where they are. But with tighter gun laws your common idiot isn't going to be able to get one and that could be a few people not killed.

In this case, as he had a whole building rigged to blow, he probably could have got one anyway but that's besides the point.

Making guns harder to obtain would lead to less good and decent civilians using them to stop crimes, too. In America, there are about 11,000 people killed by guns every year, however, every year there are 2.5 million crimes stopped by guns. In a lot of these cases, the guns aren't even fired.

People who are idiots, of course, shouldn't be able to access guns as easily as normal people but there's no reason to make guns less available for both parties. It's just a matter of weeding the undesirables out.

Undesirables, meaning guys like this:

That and children, you have NO idea when a tot is somehow able to get ahold of a gun, which is a parent's worst nightmare. Which is why the gun law requires one to be a certain age in the first place, yet people bypass this law easy for what-have-you.

As for the whole nuke thing, I was (trying to) referring to the previous film. The tactical nuke is an explosive. And explosives were used in the two boat scene in the previous batman film, and the culprit allegedly rigged his house to "go boom" with explosives.
