Complementing what Previous said, what you probably meant by "8-bit" would be NES graphics, but actually in order to make something remotely close to it, you need to read about its graphic specs, palettes and resolution, or else it will be out of style (your case).
Since this is not "8-bit" nor pixelart, it shall not be criticized as such, so I'll wait until you decorate it with more stuff. It might look interesting and somewhat 'retro' if pulled out right...
