An option to widen the site would be appreciated. The reason for the fixed width is to allow for us to design pages with a more designated and organised appearance. You'll notice how now everything fits correctly, and there's no huge gaps between one content box and another - everything is within one a simple column that is visible without the need to turn your head and hunt around the page.
2. It takes a little longer to view all the sheets on a page combined with the cramped design and big thumbnails. So another option to shrink thumbnails would be great. Although this could also be solved with just widening the site, maybe.
A common issue we heard from users was that they often missed content because they would skim the page only to skim over something. With the current width and 4-icon-per-row design, it's possible to scan a page by simply scrolling with the mouse. You barely need to move your eyes away from a single area.
We can't increase the width and still abide by these design choices, as they would then be very out of place. We also designed the site to be more fitting of other sites you might visit - most commonly, you can think of Screw Attack, Facebook, Twitter, Normal Boots, VGFacts, or DidYouKnowGaming. All of these sites follow a fixed width column layout, and in order to be easier to the standard internet user, it's something we felt we should follow.

We can't do this either, as doing so would stretch the main content area dramatically in some cases, and cause the site to completely buckle due to the extreme dimensions of some sheets.
In our redesign, we actually made the limit of what must be clicked larger, as we are able to determine a proper width for the user. Before, it was guess work, as we had no idea what width you would be viewing the site in.
edit: I would like to also say that I do appreciate what it is that you're saying, but please do try to use the site from some time before passing judgement. On first impression, compared to the old site, these views are understandable. But a number of us have been actively using this layout for a fairly hefty period, and, while I can only speak for myself and Pete regarding this, find it to be easy enough to use. It's just different.
