If you think your Mac can handle it, I'd suggest Higan (formerly known as BSNES). The guy who programmed it was pretty passionate when it came to the SNES. He took years to try to make it as accurate as it could be. You might need to change the game's file extension to sfc (for Super FamiCom) to use it. You could also look into ZSNES. I hope this helps fix your problem.
On topic, I am wanting to try SCP Containment Breach now that it has hit version 1.0. I'm downloading the latest version of the game as I type this. I also take time to play Audiosurf 2 with the tracks I buy from itunes and get from Overclocked Remix.
