For HTML5 we'll have to wait for medusa86 since I don't know and like it. Still, If I can come up with something perhaps he can work something out from my codes (change lines to their JavaScript counterparts).
Now having something that will open all is impossible since there are models that don't even work correctly (some materials don't get loaded in Blender at the moment). What I was thinking was like the best that can be done. It will open what's possible and simple give error like "can't process this" for problematic ones.
We should definitely set up some guidelines and perhaps uploaders can update their work to match the guidelines. For instance:
- only OBJ or DAE(for skeleton support) formats for the meshes.
- only PNG or JPG formats for the images/textures.
- only letters and numbers in file names, or any other labels like material or bone names. Even space, - or _ might cause problems.
These are what I think would make things easier so far.
