You're probably better off just resizing him to Goompapa. You probably already have it figured out, lol - but just scale him so that he's the same size as Goompapa. By that I mean when you resize him to be the same height as Goompapa, he'll be smaller by comparison, but not by much.
Also, doesn't Goombario have little rosy cheeks, too like his sister Goombaria?

I actually wasn't sure initially what you were going for when I noticed that your Goombario on your "canvas" actually was the same height as his dad lol.
Just a suggestion (though, I know it's not a part of this animation as I assume these events happen almost months after Paper Mario), but like if this whole thing takes place way in the future when Goombario's older and he IS as tall as his dad, I'd probably consider giving him a different hat, like a newsboy cap or something ;P
