When it does run, I do have the color problem yes.  Most of the time it just crashes before it can finish loading.

For the colour problems, this might help. Not sure about the crashing, but it's worth a shot. This might also be worth looking into, although it's a less elegant solution.

(Haven't tested either since I don't own the game, just Googled a little bit.)
