Just finished Astonishia Story (PSP):
Enjoyable, but... the last part of the game sucks extreme ass. The final boss can be only defeated by throwing long range attacks after him while he is completely helpless and does nothing. But if you come nearer than you should, he instantly kills you with a meteor spell. This means, two members are completely useless and another one has such high MP costs that I didn't bother to heal her Magic Points. Which means, I have a party of five and fight with two, blasting the same attacks over and over, healing MP and watching how the boss slowly dies.
Ah, and if your level is too low, you will spend an eternity fighting him with just one character since the monk needs a special level to learn his long-range attack. You're also screwed if you don't have enough expensive MP-healing items. Since I was apparently underleveled, my only change of beating this one whitout cursing too much was a savefile from gamefaqs.
The rest of the ending is like 2 minutes of watching how the party members saying goodbye and go to their hometown, also the main character being a total asshole only caring for his shitty staff (knight's duty and stuff). At least the female character shows some caring when she's hugging him at the dungeon entrance.
All in all, they really wasted the potential of this game, at least in the last part of it. Oh yeah, I've never seen so many towns screwed like in this game. Even the biggest town in the game is turning to dust if you accidentally open the wrong door and trigger a story cutscene. This can happen before you're able to explore it.
