I don't think scores for iOS versions of shmups are taken seriously... at all.

I mean I love Death Smiles, very good 'starter' shmup and a great game. But if someone told me they 1CC'd it on iOS. I would offer them nothing but an eye roll.

I could care a lot less about scores xd. I think unless it's a game with a single objective like Pacman or Mario Bros., scores shouldn't matter that much. Deathsmiles takes a non-competitive approach to an arcade-style shmup by using immersive visuals and plot.

With that said, it's still interesting enough to try to complete .
