I threw that part in regardless of the turnout of the final roster so the project could actually get somewhere. We literally discussed the roster here for about two or three months-- something that should only take 1-2 weeks at MOST, and because of that, no work was getting done.

With the roster completely DONE and FINALIZED, and input on the final result completely done, people should be focusing more on the actual sprite work, not complaining about the roster some more. We ALMOST had a perfect roster a month ago but people had to start throwing little wee babby shitfits and next thing you know, instead of taking a step forward, we're taking a step back. Disallowing input to the final roster will only benefit the project.

If your character didn't make it in, the Fantasy Smash Project exists for that purpose.

Now can we get the hell off this topic already?

Sorry if it seems like I'm being brash but I needed to get that out so people can understand why Ton and I made the choice to disallow roster complaints.

I do see where you're coming from, and I don't blame you. But if you two are going to instigate that kind of thought, I would suggest changing the topic title to something like "We expect everyone to be happy."

Personally, I think this roster reminds me of one of my papers; it seems rushed and as though the maker was just going with whatever he had so as not to miss a deadline.

I didn't mean rushed as in "done in a short time," I mean rushed as in "decided suddenly."

Really though, I don't have much of a problem with it. It happens with professional games, too.

Yes, the roster in general has been in the works for a long time. However, the current roster posted a few days ago hasn't, and like Sploder is saying, it for that reason appears to have been decided so suddenly.

Maybe it's just me, but I think this should be left for just a tiny bit longer. Not a lot longer though, because it's important that this project can be started 'officially' at this point. It's generally good overall, but there could always be slight changes. It honestly can't hurt to take reasonable suggestions for a few more days instead of setting it in stone without giving the majority a proper chance to tell you what they like and don't like. If the majority agrees with the idea of a particular character change, why not make an effort to adapt just a little?

Don't get me wrong, I don't really have a problem with the roster as it is either. This is just my thought on the whole situation in consideration of everyone who's mentioned it.

Look obviously I have a lot of problems with the roster. But I decided instead of complaining I'm going to make sure things turn out all right. You see you gotta work around the problems you have for example:

I have a problem about Travis and his suggestive content, but I decided that if I make sure none of that content makes it in it'll be okay.

Of course I'm not sure if those are the same problems you guys have

The Costumes should be creative. Like, use the team
healer to heal your teammate 100 times to unlock
the Doctor Mario costume.

The characters should have a little variety to unlock them.
