i did an edit to his head and eyes

By the way, dont comment on his colour, as I did get all his main colours from the original d+p sprite.

okay, wait.

to be honest, this has not improved much or at all in the past.. 5 pages.

my only advice is to google for references, just google lots of deoxys images, and try to draw it/him/her on paper. draw him jumping, punching, sleeping, etc just to get a "feel" for the character because that looks less like a pokemon and more like a guy in a deoxys suit like Boo (was it Boo?) mentioned.

sorry, but i think you have to improve your overall drawing skills before you start on spriting. >_<
that's what i think.

thats exactly why i wanted to give up a couple of pages ago. Because im not that good (yet) and deoxys is pretty hard to sprite!

then leave this on a hiatus and pick an easier character to start working on more basic elements like shading, anatomy, etc.

try something i do when i'm drawing an existing character

1. try drawing the character from memory
2. copy (not trace) an image of the character right next to the first drawing
3. compare, take notes of where you screwed up, encircle parts, etc
4. repeat step 1 until you are satisfied

my motto is if you can't draw it, you can't sprite it
so draw it first

yeah, ill probably leave this thread on a hiatus for a while and come back when im better.

Unless anyone was actually watching this forum because they liked this deoxys?... No? Yeah, thought not.

Try working on an easier subject to sprite, like Metaru suggested. Then you can work your way up towards more difficult things.
