Fuck I always miss when you guys are playing!
Well I found two new sniper items today so I started playing as him, since I never have. He's actually an enjoyable class.

The new game mode will be playable Wednesday, if I'm not mistaken. I believe that the pages are just showing what will be released on Wednesday, when MtP comes out

This is playing out exactly like last year's Uber Update; what's very likely going to happen is that we'll be getting Meet the Pyro on Wednesday, and then the update will officially ship out on Thursday.
