Just the way they do it makes it seem stupid. Perhaps girly would have been a better word. While sometimes both act slightly enfemminant, chowders enfemmination is more over the top than flapjacks, who acts more childish or does it unnintentionally.

And not in the good stupid either.

Chowder actually has some funny jokes, though.
Flapjack, as a whole, is boring and stupid.

Honestly I think what makes today's cartoons so unbearable is that they try to dumb down the shows too hard. They think that since it's targeted to kids, they should have everyone act as childish and stupid as possible. See how spongebob has turned over the years. From having some adult targeted jokes and actually having a semi intelligent spongebob, to a childish spongebob with bursts of childness. I mean, they even dumbed Patrick down. I know he wasn't supposed to be an Einstein, bit now he's comparable to a toddler. With all of the silly musical numbers help none at all. They even had Mr Krabs apologize for trying to steal spongebobs penny.

And yes VS, chowder does gave funnier jokes, but more stupidity mixed in. Although I'm talking about the recent episodes. I loved the first episodes of Chowder.

Speaking of newer cartoons Fanboy and Chum Chum.

actually yes, I totally agree
the newer spongebob episodes (you can tell because of different art style in the newest ones, but there is also a different voice actor iirc) are entirely unbearable.

What happened to shows like rocko that were funny to kids yet still had tons of innuendo mixed in so adults found the shows funny as well?

they're so distasteful that no kid's channel would air them, get with the times

in other words, the pussification of chldren.

The entire point was to hide the innuendos so that kids wouldn't get them but adults would. It's not distasteful (from a child standpoint) if the child can't get the joke.

That why most of the adult jokes were subtle.

Really I think the only cartoon on Disney currently airing new episodes is P and F. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

It's funny that a station made by a cartoon mouse is now mostly sitcoms :/

Nope, you're quite right, Rudolph.

Disney channel fucked up everything with their sitcoms, soon Nick and Cartoon Network became wannabees and now all their shit is either mediocre or just sucks.
