Exellent But there are a few problems. The sheet labeled Bosses has been changed to be for Haagnus's sheet. Also, the theme based items should be for this sheet: http://www.freebits.nl/view.php?filename...Sprite.png but from my understanding it's not complete yet anyway.
And I took heady metal out of my old bosses sheet. Thanked by: Ton

However, it doesn't have the teal-green/blue "storm" palettes that are used in the mountain levels featuring hail. Thanked by: Haagnus

The first strom theme appears in The Crystal Crage 1, Ice Theme. There they are exactly the same so i assumed that would be the same for Mountain theme, but apparently not
Thanks Superjustinbros, Full Size, Link Also have made two new spites Score screen Staff end credits Lol Taz, He will appear if you wait at the third intro screen. Never have seen or knew that Lmao Thanked by: Jeff

What a kick seeing this stuff again! I was one of the artists on Kidd Chameleon. It was the first video game I ever worked on. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep a copy of the art, given the nature of the format it was created in, and the lack of a computer at home (back in those early days!!)
Long gone are the days were EVERY pixel was hand placed... yet I somehow miss those days!! Now that I have stumbled across your site... I'll have to see if you have any of the art from 'Distruptor' (Insomniac's first game). Just a few days after we shipped, my computer crashed, and crashed hard, taking the back-up with it, so I lost all the art I had done for the game!!! Thanks again for letting me glimpse into the past!! Thanked by: Ton, Garamonde, Davy Jones, Dazz, Haagnus

Wow, seriously? That's awesome! I'd love to hear some cool stories about those days! Glad you like the site!

holy fudge, my mind is blown.
is this the first time an artist of a game's sprites has come here and seen the work of the rippers? Thanked by: Ton

As far as I know, yeah.

I don't believe so; take into account that a lot of newer games are made by people that I'm friends with and such. We've also been in contact with a few indie developers, such as the guy from Offspring Fling, Snapshot and other indie titles.
But I think it's probably one of the first times somebody has signed up to talk about an older-generation game! Pretty chuffed that we can make your day! |
