Starter and Unlockable Characters

5 Mario characters is a bit much, considering the rest have 2 tops (excluding Kirby who has 3 and Zelda & Pokémon Trainer if we consider the changes).

I just think it's too little to have only 2 out of 25 new characters starting. Surprise and suspense are good, but if it's only the expected, people will think "Oh, Little Mac and Starfy. That was obvious." If we add maybe one or two character to start who aren't as expected, like Animal Crosser, people will think "Wow, they added that character, I wonder who else is gonna be in?" I also think Krystal instead of Falco starting, but I don't know why. She just seems like she'd be a starting character.

Brawl had over 60% of new characters as starters.

And I am of the firm belief that if characters were unlockable in the past smash bros, games, that they should stay unlockable.

I believe Mario only has 3 reps, since technically Yoshi and Wario are repping their own franchises

I realize, and I pointed that out earlier. What I wished was Wario to be an early unlockable, as even though he represents his own franchise, he is still a Mario character at heart.

While they started off as Mario, they moved and starred, and are representing their own series. Meaning theyre not Mario representatives.

I just thought there were too many familiar faces from one series available from the start. Changing one to unlockable doesn't change much I guess, so I guess I'm done with this whole Wario thing. I'm not complaining if he's a default, just said he could well have been an unlockable.

Because we decided long ago that there would only be one character for each 3rd Part Company. This is also the final roster and it is not open to discussion.
