GeGeGe no Kitarou: Fukkatsu! Tenma Daiou

Smithygon started on this game a long while back but never continued, so I do not need to include a Section Icon this time around.

Currently I have all the fightable enemies except the three aliens Mimiin, Memeen and Kukuun and the final boss (because they looked retarded). I feel bad for these rips because some are only two sprites on a sheet, which seems like such a waste of server space to me, but that's how Smithygon started it, basically.

I will be working on all the PC's these next few days (have their tiles ripped already, just need to put them together), so expect an awesome (for GeGeGe no Kitarou fans) update post in the near future.

On a side note, Smithygon has an Umi Tengu sheet posted in the section, but I've never seen one in the game. In fact, his Umi Tengu looked more like the one from the GBA game I already upped.

Well if you're gonna bother ripping the whole game, why not get the aliens too?

That was my thought, too, and I may go back and rip them yet. Truth be told, only Mimiin really has anything to rip and I can't find all his tiles. <_<;; And the other two are bleh boring, as well as not anything GeGeGe Kitarou fans would likely care about. Oh and I need to rip the final boss, too. Again, bleh boring, although in fairness his final form is a little more interesting (and near impossible to kill).

Anyway, here are two more rips, two of the PC's I promised. I'll edit them into the first post too so they're all categorized and together.

Six more sheets, five playable characters and the crow gondola. I haven't gotten to the aliens yet (nor Nurarihyon, who isn't fightable, just stands there making faces) because I'm getting sick of this game (understandably).

All of these are playable characters and I will post the links in the first post as well. A couple notes, for anoyone interested:

* Portraits only exist for Neko Musume, Konaki Jijii, Sunakake Babaa, and Jigoku Douji. Shisa, Nezumi Otoko and Kitarou only appear in cutscenes, which is why portraits aren't included in their sprite sheets.

*Jigoku Douji's sheet looks like it's misaligned in some sprites, but actually it's not. That was the only sheet ripped entirely by screen captures (using his tiles as references). His forward-jumping sprites are placed based on a guideline I established while ripping the other characters.

*Aside from the final aliens and Nurarihyon, this is it for all the enemies and playable characters.

Hey, I had no idea that NekoMusume was in ths game as well, sweet.
Also, big kudos to you for ripping this game. I tried using a tile viewer to rip it and it didn't worked, then I tried using manual ripping and the game's insane difficulty moped the floor with me. XD

What about that uh...clay monster thing that you have to knock in the lava or whatever then beat the crap out of so it splits in half?

I'm assuming you mean Mimiin, the first alien. He's the only alien really worth ripping but I had issues finding his tiles. That and he's an ugly bugger and (sorry for being biased here) not a classic youkai. But I'll rip him eventually. I was just taking a hiatus to work on Super Metroid (scrapped for now, but some tiles haven't been ripped yet that need to be) and the Strike series (very tedious, but almost have one helicopter done!). And no I'm not gonna cheat by ripping from the GBA. I'm only ripping from the original Genesis ones.

I take it you meant Super Metroid.

I just looked at the save states. The background tiles are preloaded per region (at least I think they are, thought I saw all of Norfair's tiles when I was there), as are all the items and statue bits. Moving Chozos are sprites and only appear when encountered. Case in point, the golden chozo encountered before Ridley:

Yeah I know he's not golden there. He changes palettes. So if anyone wants to put him together then figure out his palettes, there's the sheet to get you started. And here's one of the sheets I started work on but put on hiatus because the game's so tedious to rip (everything in the sheet was ripped from save states, no screencaps whatsoever):

No, I meant GeGeNoKitaro's tiles, as I tried to use a tile viewer to rip that game but I found nothing uncompressed inside.
