WoW is a mindless solo-based hotkey mash characterized by running through the same dungeon over and over again and a strong emphasis on PvP so the mouthbreathers can stroke their dickly egos after wiping a battle field. story is told through the lore of the game, the player never actually experiences it.

FFXI is a tactical party-based joy characterized by like 20 fucking different types of endgame including NM, HNM, ZNM, VNM, BCNM, ENM, SCNM, dynamis, limbus, sky, sea, salvage, einherjar, assault, campaign, and probably more i cant remember right now. FFXI is story driven in that there are "missions" which is like playing through a story line adn there ARE cutscenes which include your character among other things. the story line IS legitimate despite what offline-FF fans, or anyone else for that matter says. try reading a chains of promathia plot synopsis

also what does this have to do with FFXIV? they are made by the same development team who is trying to mak ethe game more "casual" as in you can chill with your friends and hang out AND it doesnt have such a harsh learning curve like ffxi did. so take everything good form FFXI, add on the most beautifl graphics ive ever seen, MMO or not, and change the gameplay to make it more dynamic and innovative to set the online FFs even farther from the other MMOs in the genre and youve got yourself no life cause you playing the best damn game in the universe
