K. Rool Recolor/Edit

This is a recolor and edit over the idle Bowser sprite from Bowser's Inside Story to make it look like K. Rool.

It's not my best. After a year or two, I've finally gotten back into spriting. I want some constructive critic on this, because I'm not done yet. I feel like something's missing.

Edit: I've editted the body stance to make it look like he's standing up straight, as well as the nose, mouth, and belly!

Where is your source image that you... "recolor/edit"'d this off of?

FYI it doesn't look very much like K. Rool. The proportions are all off.

I used his colors from the GBA DK: King of Swing sprite sheet.
Then I used them on a Bowser sprite from Bowser's Inside Story. Sorry I forgot to specify!

It's face doesn't looks at all like a croc's. (In fact, it looks more like a Ninja Turtle...)

Okay, I've editted the sprite to make it look more proportional to K. Rool.
I see what you guys mean. Now I look at the old one...he looked more like Bowser than a crocodile!

still looks like a ninja turtle, why don't you try custom instead of editting? You're bound to get better results.

But I'm really digging Bowser's arms.
I decided to do an edit-over because I'm not good enough to draw arms and a body from scratch.

Needs a bigger and more angular mouth, not a soft and round like the one on your edit.

even when bowser is green?

looks funny, chibi-Rool or something like that xD

But his crown looks like hair and I think one of his eyes is bigger and has a injury (I'm not sure how to describe this "red" in his eye).

I think the term you're looking for is "bloodshot eye"

Looks good, but like everyone else said he needs his head too be croc like and have his trademark red eye.
