I still want to know how the hell the 3DS is supposed to work
I know that you create depth by vision differences between your two eyes, but without any form of glasses whatsoever? The only thing that comes to mind that would be plausible would be a dual-mirror system that would send two different angles of the game to each individual eye (much like the Virtual Boy), but this would be both incredibly bulky and it could definitely hurt the eyes Either that or the system sports built-in glasses that are as much a part of the system as the DS's stylus, but oh wait-- that's not what they're doing

I think the idea is that you hold it relatively close to your face, but focus far away.

The technology for a glasses free 3D touch screen does exist
http://sharp-world.com/corporate/g_topix/3d/index.html edit:: http://www.fiercemobilecontent.com/story...2010-04-05 "According to Sharp, the LCD employs a parallax barrier system including a series of vertical slits incorporated into an ordinary LCD to control the path of light reaching the user's eyes, effectively creating a sense of depth."
