Well, I think there's just a slight deficiency of indie games at the moment. Right now there aren't so much, probably because indie developers take longer than commercial developers to make games, but in due time there'll be a new batch of indie games.
For example Jonathan Blow, who made Braid, is currently working on The Witness, which is assumed to be released sometime in 2013. Tomorrow Corporation, one member whom is Kyle Gabler (who worked on World of Goo with Ron Carmel) is already allowing people to pre-order Little Inferno, and beta versions have been released to some pre-orderers. I'm sure others like Supergiant Games and Team Meat (or members of those) are also working on more games. So while there may be a drought right now, the monsoon will come before too long. I have no idea if anyone has mentioned it but Spirits from the recent bundle was fucking beautiful; it's a lot of fun too. If anyone didn't manage to pick up the bundle I suggest you add the game to your wishlist!

Didn't get the bundle due to stupid out-of-country debit card difficulties This one had great games plus soundtracks for all of them, really wanted it. Hopefully I'll be able to get the next one though.

Are there any gameplay features that make it really unique?

The Humble Indie Bundle 6!
We've got Rochard, Shatter, SPAZ, Torchlight, and Vessel, and if you pay above the average you get Dustforce. There's also the soundtrack for all games but Vessel (not sure why). By the way all games are making their Linux debut, and a few are also making their Mac debut.

I'm really sorry, but I still have all the things from #5 here, untouched.

If you don't have Torchlight, you should get this bundle for that alone. It's more than worth the price.

best bundle since Frozenbyte.
Shatter, Torchlite, and SPAZ(i'm actually surpirsed by this game) are actually quite topnotch games, not the average fillers the HB has been adding lately. Thanked by: puggsoy, Vipershark

I've owned Shatter for a while but only played it once but the soundtrack is supposed to be awesome.
But yeah, shatter and torchlight are waaaaaay above regular indie game quality. I haven't played spaz so I wouldn't know about that >.>
I checked out the SPAZ trailer, doesn't look like the best thing ever. But when Meta says a game's good, it has to be good. The rest of the games look great too, Rochard and Vessel are ones that really caught my attention (the latter I heard of since its release).
Need to nag my dad for this (no I don't manage my own money yet)

SPAZ might seem a bit daunting at fist and the graphics arent particulary a wonder, but the whole game is extremely simple.
think of it as a much better version of the space age in the original spore.

Well I haven't played Spore (what the hell, I know) but it's not so much that it looks complicated, it just seems uninteresting, that is, not so intriguing. I'm just not really sure what the game has you do, apart from shoot spaceships with your spaceship. Obviously I know it's way more than that, you've got a whole strategic system and all, upgrades and whatnot. But I mean the trailer (not the HIB video that actual SPAZ one) didn't really show what you do, as in, it was more like a slideshow of screenshots than an example of the game.
But anyway I've got the Bundle now so I'll give it a spin before too long, it'll probably be way better than I expect.

Tried all of the games out, they're all great. Vessel is probably my least favourite (the jumping feels terrible, animation is a bit jerky in general and the ladder climbing in particular looks ridiculous) but the level design is really good so far.
Definitely the best bundle in a while.

Woot.
4 new above-the-average games have been added to the bundle: BIT.TRIP RUNNER, Gratuitous Space Battles, Jamestown, and Wizorb. You also get the soundtrack of each of these. BIT.TRIP.RUNNER is at the top of my Steam wishlist, so getting it plus the soundtrack has made me really, really happy. And when I say really happy I mean REALLY HAPPY. Hmm, I get what you mean by that. I think the thing is that since the game is almost completely physics-based, Arkwright's limbs have to be pretty physics-ish too, so it's only natural that his movements are a bit uncomfortable. It does kind of annoy me how he sort of clumsily interacts with mechanisms but it give a real feel that each bit of Arkwright's body is part of the game's mechanisms, rather than just some animation. I do wish they gave configurable controls though, I'd really like to jump with W instead of the spacebar.

I think the most disappointing thing about this bundle (well, the one disappointing thing, I guess) was that it gives you 3 Steam keys, but they way they arranged them there was at least one game that I didn't already own under all 3 of the keys.
Meaning that I had to use all 3 and couldn't give any away. OTL Thanked by: Previous
