I had loads of fun with LittleBigPlanet, and I heard Buzz is a pretty good party game.

One game I can absolutely recommend because chicks love this game is SingStar. I mean, I'm still girlfriendless, but I've heard SingStar does well with the female species. That, and SingStar: Take That is just awesome. Did I say SingStar: Take That is awesome? I meant Take That is awesome. But aside from that, SingStar is fun. It has a lot of downloadable songs, unless you live in the States, in which case, tough shit.

Also, if you're going for downloadable games, I suggest Zen Pinball if you're into pinball. Also, PixelJunk Monsters, although I've also heard PixelJunk games in general are pretty fucking awesome, but I've only played Monsters, so I can't tell. Another game which is also available on disc is WipeOut HD Fury. It's actually just WipeOut HD with the Fury add-on, and both WipeOut HD and the Fury add-on can be bought separately on PSN.

Finally, if you're into survival horror, you might want to look into Siren: Blood Curse. I haven't finished the game due to the fact that it scared the shit out of me, so I couldn't play it past the third chapter. But you can judge for yourself. Surely there are some Let's Play videos, and 4 Player Podcast has some videos on YouTube as well that are from Siren: Blood Curse.

no seriously man - the only reason why singstar does well is because it's an obviously casual title. the wii is made of these kinds of games.
but, i'm sure you're aware you CAN get girls into playing videogames by playing LittleBigPlanet and Soul Calibur 4...games that cater to hardcore players but some aspects apply to the casual

I'm coming from a Wii with its Wii Shop Channel. I'm sure the PSN LOOKS better, but ...the Wii has a really nice selection of Virtual Console games. They even have old-school imports! Now, seeing as the PS3 can't acquire those licenses lol [but has its own], can you download old PS1/PS2 games?

'coz the idea of downloading Rival Schools and the Megaman X games up to X6 on PSN is quite appealing
