the main idea behind "doing stuff together" is to talk, or to do stuff both of you enjoy. why can't two people on the internet do the same thing? just because it's not physical doesn't mean they can't do it. if you like sex, there's webcams. you could both play video games online if youre both into that kind of thing. if you both like drawing, there's iscribble or w/e. you can "spend time" with an internet girlfriend or boyfriend, it's just not in the conventional way you understand.
