That, or you could use VirtualPC or something to emulate Windows on Windows (Yes I know how dumb that sounds but it would work).

yea since I was having trouble finding an old pc virtualpc seemed like my best option and I think I have an old windows 98 cd lying around. hey if it works then it could really be or use to us.

I updated the main post with info on how to rip from a bunch of Unreal Engine games from Unreal Engine 1 through 3. If you're interested and you don't have Max, I'd love to know if those MD5Mesh converters work for other programs.

By the way if you find another converter that works for this other than the ones I posted please say something since its always good to have alternative scripts for things like this.

I can confirm the MD5Mesh conversion works with Blender as well. Used it to get the Alloys ripped.

Don't even bother man. First of all it probably doesn't work period on the PCSX2 and second of all even if used 3D Ripper DX every rip you got would come out with no Y positions for any of the vertices resulting in a completely flat rip. There is a way to do it, but its a huge pain to do. I can try and hunt the method down for you sometime if you like, but its certainly no cakewalk.

Well there's a number of PS2 models you can rip with ease since there's a viewer or something for the format itself, but this obviously doesn't apply to every game. Unfortunately, 3D Ripper DX, one of the only things close to a universal 3D graphics ripper, has problems as I mentioned before with ripping from PS2 games.

This tool: http://oasis.xentax.com/index.php?content=downloads can convert some PS2 textures, but if you want to know about ripping textures you'd probably be better of posting in the Textures Resource section of the forums.

I want to rip the models/textures from PS2 game, Digimon Rumble Arena 2, and it seems everything is in a .RES format. Even the music/sound is in RES format. Any ideas? Luckily they have folders with the CHARACTERS, LEVELS etc, so the searching isnt really that hard Wink

PS: I also like to rip the models from Digimon Rumble arena 1 for psx or digimon world 3. I try to convert the tmd files, but it failed.

You could always rip them from the gamecube version with Dolphin and 3D Ripper DX.

Yup, maybe thats better. I have dolphin, and the game, but i dont know how to convert the file. It's the same as the PS2 version, for example "angemon.res". Everything in the game is in that format. Even sounds Tongue

Its probably just an archive format the company uses. Regardless, its probably not a common 3d format so you probably won't have a heck of a lot of luck converting the models directly even if you can extract the archives.

Aren't ROMs and ISOs pretty much the same thing?

If ROM = ISO
And ROM sitesharing = Illegal
Then ISO sitesharing = Illegal.
(My logic seems flawed somehow)

I'm pretty sure that this type of ROM/ISO site sharing thing is breaching something though.
