Format PNG&RES=LANDING () Size x pixels There's something wrong with the file information below the sheet. The other sheets are also affected

He uses ImageShack but I've never seen them do that to images. I just always left them like that because I figured it was okay as long as the sheet displays. I'll try to remember to ask him about it next time.

Quote:http://www.textures-resource.com/other_s.../banjo.png&res=landingThat part makes them go wacky. Looks like the system takes it as part of the file name when it actually is an URI parameter thingy when you upload them via URI upload. The weird file ending then renders the system unable to detect the actual extension properly so it also cannot detect the dimensions as it does not know how it should read the file. I just looked at one of his texture submission topics and noticed he uses these weird "&res=landing" URIs only for some images, for others he uses the proper direct links. Thanked by: Garamonde

I don't know how many use the res landing links... could anyone fix them?
EDIT: Oh, that link in your quote leads to a 404.

Yes it does because on the Resource server, the file name includes "&res=landing" so if you leave it out, it does not work. If you keep it, you may get a download prompt rather than the image opening directly in the browser.
It also was not even supposed to be a link but some smarty-pants somewhere decided that forum softwares should convert everything resembling an URI into a link. Fixing them via our control panel thingy would require reuploading them, I guess, since it does not feature file renaming (right?). I don't know if someone with more access to the server may have better options (with a script maybe). I personally can't do anything

I thought we'd just download the sheets off the site (and possibly edit the extension if necessary) and re-upload them off our hard drives. Would that fix it?

I'd imagine so.

but you can EDIT sheets.

Only on tSR
08-25-2012, 11:22 AM
Well, does that mean I have to look through all his submissions and fix the ones that are weird?
I don't even know how many I've uploaded like that... and if all those Pokémon are like that... Oh no...

I'm sorry
I went through the tSR parts and think I got all of the ones there. My approach was to look through his (more recent, the older ones didn't have that issue at all) submission topics, mouse-over the icons and see if there's landing res' in the URI preview (bottom-left in Firefox). (I did look through a few older things, too, but didn't see anything so I guess they're all fine and you do not need to check everything). Well, tSR looks alright now unless I missed something but come on, how likely is that? Checking the n64 textures topic... ohmy. Hey, I'd lend you a hand if I could, but that'd require someone else to work some magic first.

Yeah I posted about the issue in his thread. I'm sure a bunch of his textures (Wii/GameCube, N64) are like that. I'll see what I can do sometime soon.
Also thank you for fixing the TSR sheets.

I can probably cobble together a shell script to rename everything in one go given a little time. I'll look into it.
