Well 6 is as far as they got in terms of spriting you should be more specific if your going to call out on styles, I thought the Chibi was what made them charming.

more realistic graphics would probably help a lot, it's really hard to convey emotion through 2D sprites

essentially FF8 or 9 level graphics for FF6 is what I want.
Minus all the texture pixelization that the ps1 did.

Sweet JESUS.
I didn't know this was such a touchy subject.
I thought everyone was in agreement that Final Fantasy died when Sephiroth came in.
Although, I do like his theme, just for the sake of nerdiness.

If you're surprised about people being fanboys on the internet; then you've not been on the internet for very long.
Personaly, I'm pretty apathetic towards the old FF games. I've played FFIV DS, and that was pretty good, but I didn't have any motivation to finish it. ATB is a pretty shitty system, and just turning on Wait mode makes it tolerable instead of - y'know - good.
I really liked IX, X, and X-2, though (yes, I'm aware the fanbase is really heavily divided on X and X-2. No, I don't care). I shall have to motivate myself to complete all three at some point in future.
Specs 'n' Headphones has been revamped! Check it, yo.

That question is so rediculously loaded, you're an idiot for asking; and others would be idiots for trying to answer it.

Did you even read the thread?
In terms of the 2D games, FF6. In terms of the 3D games, FF9.
