They're his blasters. Beast never doesn't have his cape unless your referring to his ballroom/prince outfit.

maybe it was a different game with him in it. anyway great rip, are there high res models for EVERY charecter in KH2? I know that there are a bunch of unused models like the Wyverins and Behemoths are in the game's code, saw someone replace donald and goofy with them but the game crashed imediatly following trying to move the party around.

No there are many characters who don't have higher detail cinematic models.

I think there are just a bunch of repeat models everywhere for some reason. I don't know if its to improve loading times somehow, but a lot of it seems meaningless to me unless I'm missing something.

I've been thinking...there needs to be more people ripping out Kingdom Hearts stuff, so I've got a few things, myself. First up: Way To The Dawn!

You'll have to forgive the crappy pic. I'm just starting out, so I don't know how to get rid of the lining. To compensate, here are some bigger pics:

Just to let you know, that thing on Armored Xemnas goes up a lot higher, but if I tried to get all of it, the image would be a lot smaller, and, thus, wouldn't have such quality.

By the way, I'm using 4Shared for these models, as MediaFire isn't that good of a site, in my eyes. Too many ads. Hope this is a good start for me! Cute

Well that's pretty cool, I'm glad to see someone else trying to rip from this game. Just so you know though, your rips don't have the correct scaling on them. Compare them to any ingame shot of the same models if you think I'm lying. The thing is that 3D Ripper DX rips need to be adjusted a lot of the time because of the way it rips them.

If you're using Max you have it a little easier and have the option of adjusting these on import. If you're using any other program than you'll need to use the scale tool and find a set of scale percentages you can use for each axis on all of the models. These values will probably be the same for everyone one of these you rip, but you need to make sure they're the right ones. My suggestion would be to rerip something that's already uploaded, compare your rip to the one from the site and see what values get it as close as possible to that one. Than you could apply those values to your other rips and you'd be good.

Don't feel bad about that by the way. This is a common issue people have with ripping these models so I'm just trying to help you out with it as best I can.

Milkshape 3D needs these scales to fix a rip from ModelViewerWX, X: 1 Y: 0.8 Z: 1.25 Also you assigned the wrong texture to Xemnas's cape as well as his weapon.

Just realized you were talking about the Armored form. Seems I got the first and last textures mixed up. Don't worry, though. I fixed the zip and all the images so now they're in the proper order. Wink

I kinda figured it was a common problem. It simply seems that the right tools are difficult to come by. Either way, I'm glad to help out for this game, and I'll be glad to help with the original as well if there are tools released to rip models from that game as well.

Oh, and before I forget, all the models I rip out will be from the original version of KHII. I don't have FM+, as I'm neither Japanese, nor an importer. Sad

(Also, what's Milkshape 3D? I've never heard of that program before.)

Milkshape 3D is just another 3D program like Blender, 3ds Max or Maya. As for those values he gave you for scaling though, you'll want to scale those models with about X:100% Y:55% Z: 125% or whatever the equivalent scaling values are in your program.

Alright, I'll try to figure out how to shrink down the models for them to be usable, then I'll modify the Zips so you guys can use them. For some reason, the beginning is always the hardest...

yes ariel is in KHII but alice is not. (u kinda got to post 20 times before you post a request though buddy, hopefully you won't get in too much trouble over this one) I'm pretty sure there are highpolys of ariel in KH1.

Yes, requesting isn't something we really let you do until you've been here long enough to justify it really. Hence the 20 post rule, so I'll be giving you a warning for that.

Aside from that, it really isn't necessary to bold every few words like you just did for your post. You see what I mean?
