I just bought it. Tried running it on an old p4 computer with 3gb of ram. I got ~10 fps.

I switched over to my laptop and averaged ~30-40 fps.

I /really/ need to hook my gaming rig back up.

Anyway I'm trying to learn the basics of survival mode.

you can't;
or rather, you need an account to play so it doesn't matter whether you pirate it or not.

Besides, I couldn't find a torrent for it anywhere.

if you google "world of minecraft" though, you can download a private server client to allow you to play the early creation mode version, though.

Buy it though, it's worth the 13 bucks.

I'd buy it, but the free version tends to run pretty horribly on my PC, so I doubt the full version would do any better.

i don't know if it was just the unofficial client i was running but the free version seemed to get worse performance than the full version for me.

Though as I said, I can't run the full version on a p4. (That is, if I want more than 10 fps.)

isnt the free version browser based? that runs horrible on mine too.
But the paid client version runs perfect with 140fps

You can't really pirate it. The best you can get is a shared account.

But seriously, dont pirate from indie devs. it's not cool at all.
Only pirate games that arent available to buy any more, or games from huge companies like activision.

on the old servers they capped out at pretty much whatever the host's connection
