What I'm most hyped for is the new Sky Dimension/Aether/Air dimension.

(No they don't link to the Air dimension yet, though there is an "Air Biome" that can be found in the normal world for now which is most likely Notch testing how the Air dimension's terrain will be generated.)

You apparently find them in dungeons and fix them with the new Ender Eyes.

Also, potion time.


Sadly, it's done with brewing stands and cauldron's are being replaced. Though, for good reason.

i'll never understand building things out of wood

I mean, aside from aesthetics, it's horribly unsafe
everything of mine is a dirt/stone combo with wood ONLY in places that are nowhere near trees/the ground/anywhere a creeper can reach/other flammable things

That's why you make a sprinkler system. Cobble on the perimeters of the floor-leveled blocks, then put a shitton of water on top of all the wood in between the cobble. It has saved my wooden mansion on a destructive server several times, including one incident where a guy accidentally broke a lava furnace and set some stuff on fire.

I only did the tree farm with wood blocks because of lack of cobblestone to make it.

also losing it due to fire isn't as bad because I can build another one pretty quick

1.9 Pre 5 came out today.
The main cool things in this release is the new enderdragon (boss), the dragon egg after you beat it, and the 'ending'/credits.

I personally think the ending is long and boring. I know that it's supposed to have a REALLY deep meaning behind it, but watching a slow scrolling wall of text for 10 minutes isn't fun in my opinion. I really liked the new boss, and the little twist with the dragon egg (most likely hinting after you've beat the game you get your own over world dragon). Oops, won't spoil anymore.

So we're only a couple of hours away from the official release, and I'm actually really freaking excited.

Mainly because Ive purposely kept myself from playing any version above 1.7, so I'm expecting a ton of new
amazing features and shit.

Just something I cooked up today, a dual incinerator/cobblestone generator:

The Lava leaves the Incinerator through a small hole out of the building and runs off into the water, a tad inefficient due to having to run outside to get the cobblestone, I know, but aesthetically pleasing as it is reminiscent of factory runoff.




I am in the rainforest Biome, so I was able to get a lot of clay to make into bricks.

Personally, I'm not really interested in it going gold soon. Particularly because now I have to wait for all my mods to update first (because playing without mods is kinda empty, even with all the newer additions).
