Oh hey, don't mind me
#1
just starting a Waluigi following NES restrictions (guess what "inspired" me)

obviously not finished, but i'd like to submit it when done. And idk about how well I did the anatomy, that's always something that escapes me.

definitely better than your inspiration, he looks like he's leaning back a bit, when he should probably have a bit of a hunch
pkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

now he might be leaning too far forward Sick

I just edited the middle waluigi, so just ignore the fire form

I dunno, but I think maybe change the arms so that aren't noodle-y. Otherwise, he does seem to not be quite hunched over too much, but that's probably due to the angle at which he's standing; if I'm correct, his upper body is close to about a 45 degree angle from the ground.

Otherwise, looks pretty good.

Scrapped the old one for a more in-style version

thats because most of the time waluigi is forced to show a hunch due him being taller than most regular characters, thus reducing the visual impact(mostly on mario party games). for the same reason, i'd move his head a bit foward (on the version you edited) a few more pixels so it would follow its spine.

in any case, keep in mind if this was to replace the original game's sprite, the final user would see the sprite at 2x or so, so it kinda gives you a bit of relief when it comes to readbility. wich in any case defeats the golden rule of readbility>details(refering to the kneepads he's wearing now).

Just a nitpick: the big Waluigi looks more like a spider rather than Wario's partner in crime.

I'm not quite sure I get what you're saying.

I'm agreeing with what Metaru said, but I think you might also try lowering his head a pixel or so, too, to further emphasize his hunched posture. He also still has slight noodle-arms; maybe make the angle a bit sharper?
