but this isn't pixeltendo. that's obvious by the difference in communities

most of the people at pixeltendo who make silly/rude posts (this is including myself, i know this) joined here, hated it, and left. no raiding or anything. while others (myself, Sonikku, Mozzy [kind of], Phantom Kirby, etc.) were able to adjust and somewhat enjoy both forums. all the major troublemakers are uninterested with tSR so they stay at PT (or ExC)

PT and tSR are completely different places, just because tSR "started out" at PT doesn't mean all of the same problems will transfer with the move

Also, Diogalesu, I really can't find the discussion you're talking about. If it's about Plasma Trooper being an emo in the future-topic, then yeah, she had all the rights to lock the topic, also especially due to the fact that xTYVONx didn't really show any improvement (which disappoints me, since xTYVONx is a mod at another place).

Thats what I was getting at, but a little somewhere different among the lines. Mozzy And xTYVONx were explaining to Plasma Trooper on what to do, Then Plasma Trooper gives an exuse where eventually, she starts ranting pointlessy saying that Mozzy and xTYVONx were being mean to her, Then Lunyka agrees with Plasma Trooper anwd gets them banned for absoulutly no reason. Truth was that Mozzy and xTYVONx were not intentionally being rude at Plasma Trooper, it makes me wonder if Plasma trooper even thinks before she gets an idea, Pretty much the same with Lunyka too since she had some part to do in it (And that proves that some Moddetters don't make the best decissions).

Point is Lunyka did have rights to lock, but I didn't quite see the reason in suspensions for both Mozz and TYVON, I saw nothing wrong in those posts (And I am refering to the topics, not the votes in the reps) until they started to debate with Lunyka (Or possibly any other mod who got involved, for that matter).

That might have been the cause with some of the rep abuse that was going around.

Some people value other's opinions of them; even on the internet. Having negative rep shows that you're disliked or even hated in a community; which isn't nice, if it's not actually true.

As a side note, I tend to lock posts as opposed to deletion as it makes things clear that the contents of the thread is not acceptable, and not to be repeated. When I first started modding here, I *did* delete redundant threads, but they kept being made by the same (or sometimes different) people; so locking seemed a better option.

I do elete threads from time to time, but not specific posts. I guess there hasn't been a situation that moved me enough to do so (the Plasma Trooper threads are an exception; I tend to be offline when she's online...).

You could adjust the system. Making it so that you can only give positives. That way, no one can be abused and still try to better themselves by working towards a higher reputation.

Having the ability to downvote people is fine, as long as your reason for doing so doesn't contain the phrase "because I'm an asshole". Besides, just having positives does me no assistance as a mod.

Like I said, I use the rep system to monitor users that require investigating. Wading through posting histories with nothing to go on is difficult and boring.

I think there's no way you'll be able to stop it completely. The idea of "Rep" is based soley on how much you are liked, not by your status as a member.

It seems like a poor tool for moderators.

I don't think they were calling you a man (although that was the side effect - I don't think they have any issues with you), but rather insulting GenericNPC.

He was randomly derepping people for no reason (which is now against the rules, so don't fucking try it guys); and people were picking up on the fact that he was touting you as a trophy girlfriend in all of his posts (and I do mean all).

Yeah. I didn't realize that he was giving out pointless negatives (He only negged the people who did so to him first as far as I know of. If any others please tell me.) and I though he only mentioned me in his post in the love topic. I really don't read his posts but I'll keep on him better from now on.

Also Confessor purposely changed the comment in his rep to say 'Also a man' on my rep not his. That pissed me off.

Don't forget generic NPC was also being a moron, not trying to be mean to him but the only reason why he was is because he wanted to protect Plasma Trooper (Who was eventually banned for a few days.). I think after the incedent with Plasma tropper and Mozzy Arguing I blieve is where most of the Rep abuse was starting, cause if I recall correctly there was some other arguments afterwards.

(Just to let you know guys I still agree with Mozzy, I am not choosing to switch sides or become neutral within the argument, and I did bother to read those topics.)

Basically if you get banned it is your own fault. We have rules for a reason and you need to deal with them. However you can trust the staff team in what they are doing. If the staff was untrustworthy do you really think Dazz would keep us as staff? He wants the best for his website and I'm sure that he knows if his staff wasn't doing a good job that he'd get better people for the job.

No offence Lunyka, but after the Plasma Trooper Argument I don't really find you that trustworthy, Which is why I change the vote I gave you to neutral. However I do respect Dazz's opinions even though I dislike them.

That's understandable just understand that I dealt with her off of tSR and even suggested that we hide the In Real Life section from her because issues only rose when she talked about her life.

He only thought it was wrong for Mozzy to tell Plasma Trooper to go kill herself. So he stood up for her because of that. In all honestly if anyone on this forum told anyone else to go kill themselfs they would have been banned for a week just like Mozzy was. Plasma Trooper was banned for a different reason then the whole whiny 'I hate my life because my mom won't let me do anything'. She was spamming.

That's not the fucking issue here. The issue is that people are giving pointless reps when they are not needed. Meaning it is the content that the rep has not the type of rep that is being challenged here.
