Still they should have made this the Dark Knight and put Batman it, that's what'll save Sonic - stupid cross-overs!

Seriously though Secret Rings wasn't bad - and I guess an experimental series will eventually stop bad ideas like that of Unleashed.
And as much as I hate to see Sonic holding a Sword it sounds like this well be similar to the metal claw thing in the new Prince of Persia - and that looks promising.
I don't see they couldn't have gave Knuckles a gauntlet thing though but I guess he's not as popular as Sonic and swords.

So yeah I think the idea is bad and maybe a different character apart from Sonic could have been used, or even a new non-sonic related character. BUT as much as I hate the concept if the game plays well, like REALLY well maybe this could work as a one off.
