At the time guns were around, although they had a nice habit of randomly exploding. Bows and Arrows were usually more accurate and lethal anyhow.

What do you mean? If she uses a bow, that would make her more flexible, useful, and greatly reduces the chances of her getting kidnapped.

If she's using one of those useless outdated guns that takes forever to reload, she'd have to spend more time running around and probably get kidnapped in the process. Thus, making Sonic have to rescue her again. So she obviously has to use a gun in order for her to be herself.

You do realize that the game has sonic in a midevil story book

right? theres the many posiibilities of ideas.

Also Amy was not entirely a stalker, the first game she appeared in she got kiddnapped by the hunk of scrap metal eggman made and called it a metal version of sonic.
