I was listening to some Sonic music today, and noticed something.

Listen to Spring Yard Zone's BGM. Listen carefully.
Notice anything?

SPZ's BGM heavily samples the "ding" sound that plays whenever you grab a ring, and puts it as one of the instruments in the music. It's slowed down most of the time so it sounds a bit different, but it's undoubtedly the same sound.

0:29 is the spike sound effect

That's the sound that the end-of-level signpost makes when you run past it.

edit- It appears to also sample the ring sound as well.

In Final Fantasy 13, in Nautlis at the beginning of the Chocobo farm a person is blocking a hall way saying "The Fiend Lord's Keep isn't open to the public yet" The Fiend Lord's Keep is from Chrono Trigger.

There are various easter eggs in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that can only be seen by hacking the game. Here are two of 'em:

On Rumble Falls, there is a sprite of Donkey Kong hidden among the background scenery. In the SSE against Petey Piranha, there are sprites of a Bob-omb and Blooper hidden on the inside of the cages containing Peach and Zelda.

Speaking of Peach and Zelda, their complete models weren't used during the 1st battle against Petey Piranha. N64 models were whipped up instead for that part.

I know if you search the data disc of Puzzle Bobble 2 there is a character file that has no action commands and does not appear in the game. A rabbit, that looks like Sonic, and most likely the reason he was taken out the finished game.



Also, in Nightmare Creatures, the apparently uncatachable Crowley can sometimes glitch and you can walk right up to him without him running off. Thanks to my fiancee for showing me that one :p

If you leave Mario asleep in Super Mario 64, he say's Ravioli.

If you leave Sonic CD un-paused for about 3 or 5 minutes, Sonic will say " I'm Outta Here! ". jump off the stage, leading to a game over.

The song on the results screen on Mario Kart 64 actually has a secret sequence if you leave it on for a while.

There is a hidden Altered Beast level in Gunstar Super Heroes that can't be accessed normally, there are some weird sprites hidden in the game too.

In Chrono Trigger, Magus' first battle's HP is 6666.
In Christianity, 666 is the Mark of the Beast. (As in Devil)
Magus is the antagonist until Lavos comes into the picture.
