i couldn't pin point any specific color for you to choose, so i'd rather sugest looking at your image as a whole, read a good tutorial about contrast and shading, and keeping in mind that what works on paper, doesnt necesary work on the screen(and even less on sprites)

The eyes should look more hollow, your sprite's ones bulge out a bit too much like normal eyes. It also looks like the head is too hunched down or something.. but you got enough to fix up on it though so... XD

Well so far this guy has been showing something that we all hate, and thats just stupidity.
He can make sprites, but not choose colors? that sounds very dumb to me. But either way, the sprite itself sucks, pillow shading, crappy anatomy for the arms, and the face itself looks crappy, and the colors suck.

One thing I noticed that even in that manga picture you showed us, he does not have that many lines on his face.

I know that you wanna keep the lines on his face so I'm gonna suggest this, use one color for the line and only use a second color to add AAing or choose only one side of the line and add a second line there to highlight or darken the original line only. But only choose one side of the line and not outline the whole line because otherwise you look like you are made of wood and pillowshaded and dirty like every everyone else has basically said already.

Yes but even me who posted after 2-D Had more to bring to the table besides whatever everyone else said.

2-D has a bit of a habit of just repeating what everyone else says and well it is kinda annoying.
