It means to send out a signal by which another party may locate you. In this context, it was signaling the Mars People of the invasion site or something.

Well sometimes it seems to be the Mars People who have turned the creatures giant (so there already there, and thus don't need a beacon) or sometimes its nuclear experiments.

Before I start banging these names onto icons or anything I think I'm going to try and get another source, or ask the guys at MSDB. I believe I should have a forum account over there so maybe I'll pop the question on the forums.

Sphere UFO added. Second flying eye UFO thingy has also been completed.

Looks like the Mars Army is near completion, which is awesome. Apart from the Eel (so damn hard to rip!) and Jupiter King (he's really pissing me off as well, but is still a hell lot easier) I can't see any problems arising. Doing the Mummy enemies at the moment and it's really weird how the bat zombie pot liquid is green in MS3 and not purple like it is in MS2 and MSX. Not to mention that the standard Mummy's getting flamed animation is just his normal death but instead of blue fire stuff it's orangey, still kinda lame. And although the Mummy Dogs burst into flame (as in orange flame) when flamed in MSX can't see to find there pallete unless it has blue flame in MS3... Damn game, ah well I'll look into if the dogs burn blue or orange in MS3, can't seem to get a Flame Thrower while there's dogs on the screen.

I like how even though the game is full of enemies, like fish and crabs, that in any other game would be generic and boring but in this game they make those enemies totally ridiculous! Barfing snails, hilarious.

Yeah, though as it's never fully on screen tiles only exist for the part what you see (and a few pixels more) so sadly it's not as awesome as I was hoping for. The most annoying thing about it is the stupid glowy white effects when it shoots its big zappy laser.

Yeah, I add them as I save them from the forum. That way I'm not spending two hours at my computer uploading files when I want to do an update.

I'm pretty damn sure it's name isn't Tower-Tank and maybe the 'maggots' are actually caterpillars...
I might send an email to SNK hoping for an enemie list or something, though that chances are like one in a million...
I also realised that the Big Green Crab has the wrong coloured blood, so I need to fix that.
