Metal Slug 3
#46
With how the tiles are with Metal Slug 3 (did you actually rip it or did you capture it, aka take screenshots?) it'll probably take me longer to carry on from something already done than to start from the beginning.

(The Ostrich looked cute so I couldn't resist ripping that - god these sprites have strange powers over me)

Its ripped from the games tiles...

I find it easier to use that way...

Yeah it's impossible to capture the Metal Slug games because of over-lap. Which is why I'm using tiles, which I now also find easier.
My Internet is too slow to load it Sad Sad

Will most likely start from scratch anyways though dude.

I say old bean she is a fine bird isn't she?

After this I'll do the second part of the second boss along with what they shoot and the bluey explosion they make.

Ostriches are so cool.

The Joust Ostrich thought it was cool, but the Metal Slug one has a gun strapped to it. Now that's awesome. Maybe even more awesome than sharks with laser beams attached to their heads.

Whoops! My bad! That comment didn't register in my brain for some silly reason. Though I have to admit, you must be very gutsy, or very crazy (or both), to do most of the ripping from this game by yourself.

I wish ya nothing but the best of luck!

Yeah! I know exactly how you feel!
If I remember correctly, the guys at SNK/Playmore used a process which invovled traditionally animating the sprites (like a Disney film), then scanning them into a computer and editing them to get the most awesome and beautifully animated sprites in the history of video games.

They're a thing of beauty.. *sniff* Now I'm all sentimental.

I believe I said that in my first post Tongue

The Jupiter King is coming on nicely by the way.

Pretty standard so far, not as challenging as I thought - is rather time consuming though...

I'm also really annoyed with that damn Eel - one of the hardest sprites I've came across for some time, bloody ropes...

Here's a little collage of everything I'm working on at the moment...

Yeah I can see it. Hmm your missing his second tanker on his back - kinda odd.
I'll probably use this for reference to make sure I haven't smegged up, or if I do use anything from it I'll make sure you get credit for it (if you want it).

Edit: Is it just me or does the big worm thingy look like the Brain Bug from StarShip Troopers?

I know the second tanker is missing but you already seem to have the body ripped... I was talking more about the other stuff in the sheet.

Yeah the head and arms etc. all look pretty good to go.
Do you actually know what your missing?
Plus if I use this would it be cool if it went up on my own website?
