The unused weapons are looking really blurry in comparison to the normal items, no surprise they were not used.

The "unused" weapons look to me like Juiced Up versions of normal weapons. I haven't ever played this game, but I seem to remember in CTR, some of the icons changed when you got 10 wumpa fruit.

In regards to those weapons, that's actually how the icons appear in the game. They're NOT juiced up versions. There aren't any in the game. They're labeled as "Multiplayer Extras"; but there is no multiplayer in the game, which is why I label them "unused".
