actually wasn't intentional

i just wanted colors that would look nice with the red and black scheme, but didn't want any repeating colors so it'd be easy to differentiate between which controller you're using

and as lunyka said, those also happen to be the only selectable official colors

(and to metaru, believe me, i'm not patriotic at all)

I honestly want one of each controller too but the blue one will be ~ExClUsIvElY~ mine to use because it is my favorite color.
