Hey kids! Here's a little thing music-wise from Cloud Journey.
This is the Floating Forest theme, for the level we're working on for the demo. (which who knows when it will come.)

This version is not near done. When the full game comes out there will be two different soundtracks. (chiptune and orchestra.)

Oh and lets also introduce a new character:

Death (Grim Reaper)
A motherly figure to the boy. Though every second of her's is busy with work she tries her best to find time to aid the boy on his journey.

Hello everyone! Sean here. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your ongoing support of this FRIGGGEN HUGE project. And because of that support, we would like to ask you guys to help us out on deciding something.

I felt that we should change the graphic style a bit to make it match the style of the artwork more. SO..we have been doing some experiments with the style. This, is what we came up with.

As you can see, there are quite a few changes to both bgs and characters. Backgrounds won't be consisting of black outlines(mostly just the bottom of them to add depth), and characters have been giving a bit more shades, a different pallete, and etc. I'm sure you guys can see the changes clearly. Also, please note that the monkey character is not fully complete as of yet.



Now the question is: Which one do you like better..the old style or the new one?
If you choose the new style, just like this post. If not, post and explain as to why. And do not worry, this won't delay anything. We just want to make it more "eye-candy"ish for you, the fans.

i definitely prefer the old style, the black outlines are a lot more striking but the style is still unique. the new one looks a lot softer and a bit more cluttered

So in case people are wondering what's been going on, here's the heads up and what to expect in the near future:

We have a new team!
We now have a beautiful team of 5(including Andrew and myself) that we just started production with earlier today! The members of the refreshed Dream Show Productions are people you guys are quite familiar with and are very talented, dedicated people. I'll be revealing who they tomorrow(er later on today).

New style= Old Animations Upgraded
We are working hard to give you visuals that you will enjoy looking at when the game is fully finished. With the new style, we have dedicated ourselves to go back and make animations better to make up for time lost.
Here is a little taste of an animation revamp that I have been working on:

A shitload of Art
As the artist of Cloud Journey, I am making artwork dedicated to each world, enemy, and character. There may even be a CJ-related christmas card in December..who knows?
Here's a little tease as to what is in store. Characters of a certain world will be standing on "podiums" that represent the terrain of the world that they're from.

Seriously love the premise of this game, and I really do love the art style. Just hope it goes somewhere eventually!!

Honestly I always hated the premise... sorry but I'm being honest.

The happy-go-lucky adventures of death really doesn't seem to work well. Maybe if it was ironic... If you were going to sell this, I doubt a company would allow it from a marketing point of view.

*Ahem* besides that the game looks wonderful and is bursting with talent! Keep it up.
