Must I evaluate more that just because the main character isn't who you want it to be won't mean shit in a game? Come on now, even you know that a change like this really won't do much.

every game company is doing this. since they have to aim everything to the american market now, they are instead of doing original and fun games, following a simple formula:

- do a God of War ripoff
- or do a Magic City Man game
- or do both

also make sure it looks like generic-action-movie-trying-to-be-dark-and-edgy

except they did this before god of war.

its not just the character design
its literally everything except for the enemy design
its all abysmally ugly and horrid
its like they tried to take everything about devil may cry that was "cool", and decided "if we make this edgier and more extreme and darker and american it'll be badass, right"

People are mis-reading. There is nothing wrong with a re-vamping of Dante during his younger days. Though this is not what some (certainly not me) would have guessed the demon-slaying, bad ass with a mouth would look like in his youth.
