I can't do PSX, I was going to rip my favorite game when I was a kid, which was Disney's Hercules. It was too complicated though, if there is a easy way to rip it, or if it's already ripped, could you tell me? I'd be eternally grateful.
Anyway, I decided to rip from a DS game, so I'm doing some rips from Power Rangers: Super Legends, is there a way I can make the background a different colour on iDEAs when I take out all layers but the player? Because the sprite I'm ripping has a pure black colour on the sprite that's exactly the same as the background.

Since I'm being ignored, I'll ask again... What's the best way to extract Nintendo DS sprites on Windows?

Those were ways to do it on a Mac, and not in the way that I want to do it. Since I can't get help with doing it on Mac, I'm asking how to do it in Windows.

It's the very same process. Now if you really want to extract directly from the rom, try tile molester or tahaxan and GL

Yes, I want to extract the actual files from the ROM, not take the sprites from screen captures. Could you tell me which program is best for extracting files from DS ROMS, and possibly give a download link? I'd really love to contribute to this community, but first I need to figure out
how to.

Okay, I managed to extract the files of the ROM, but now I need to extract the .narc files. I've searched everywhere, but found absolutely nothing. I KNOW people here must have experience with this, because there's no way that someone ripped every single Pokémon sprite available here by taking screenshots of an emulator. So, how do you do it?! All I need is to extract these .narc files. Then I can submit my contributions here.

Pokémon's an exception, there's a special program that allows you to edit Pokémon sprites, it's so easy to rip the Pokémon.

I'm trying to get Taxahan to work, I used the download on the first post of page 28. But when I try to open it I get this error message.
"This application has failed to start because bgd.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
I've tried re-installing it but it doesn't work, what can I do?

Tahaxan comes with a set of dlls ("Tahaxan Runtimes") in the "Other" folder of the downloads section. Just extract them into the same folder as Tahaxan.

Ok, it's running now. The sprites seem to be in .obj files, I looked it up and it says it's a 3D file, but I'm sure it's 2D sprites. How do I open these? Also, how can I extract pallettes, I tried extracting Palletes.bin but it crashes Taxahan.

Probably with Tile Molester. It'll open any graphic file you tell it to (though you have to tweak it to open some palettes).
Mess with the canvas width and View> Codec and Mode until you get a recognizable image.
You may want to check this out, too.

I just tried it, it doesn't open .obj files.

It doesn't because it gives you an error or can you not find it to open it?
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?
