Way too much going on there. I was actually thinking about getting rid of those things on his eyes. Keep it simple.
Make his snout more pointy and jaw larger to make it a little less Treecko.
Maybe something like this?

I like that, so do you guys think these colors are ok? baised shiny off of the colors of fall (although, it makes him look like hes a fire type)
EDIT: as for the reigional bird, why not a blue jay, Cardinal, or Oriole ext.?

Um, Koopaul. In your first post the links two and three for the fire starter are messed up. 2nd says pic has exceeded bandwidth and 3rd has a website called "photobucket.co".
Anyways for the bird I don't think we should do a cardinal or blue jay because I can easily see one of their typings as fire for the cardinal and water/ice for the blue jay. Though either way the cardinal would look cool... but I'm fine with the oriole.
I'm personally not liking the stater ideas so I'll just leave them alone but will sprite them once we can decide upon some ideas.
Quick Questions: How are we going to do the legendaries and are the sprites going to have B/W like animations? This may seem a little early but legendaries are usually first in the design process of a generation and it decides the theme of it. And we're getting closer to agreeing on ideas so...

brand, what don't you like about the starters? could you specify? :/
Also Koopaul, I like your lizard, but the head things don't look like they fit on the head. They don't seem. . . natural.

Yeah it was something I whipped up quick. But you get the idea, I think this head is a little better for a frilled lizard..

Doesn't it look like we have it all figured out now?
We should probably get on to the sprites!!

I know this is a bit too early to think about, but...
For one of the fossil Pokémon families, we should go with a sea scorpion Pokémon. And maybe we could make a new alien-like Pokémon that's either psychic and steel or ghost and steel. Possibly a grim reaper-like legendary.
And if we make a set of battle themes to go with the TSRDex, can we possibly base the grim reaper's theme around "Don't Fear the Reaper"

I want an expert Pokemon drawer to finish their design first. Hm I wonder if I can get Devicho...

I really like the grass starter design! c:
I was actually doodling some Pokemon ideas in my notebook earlier, and came up with something I'm rather pleased with. Even though the current focus is getting the starters done, would anyone mind if I sketched up my design from earlier and posted it here? It's an grass/ice type based off a mistletoe. (With a planned poinsetta-themed evolution. I figured Christmas themes would be good for an grass/ice type.)

that sounds fine, and do you think you could take a stab at a quick doodle for the starters?

Yeah, I was planning to do so, and maybe tweak them just a little if I see something that could be changed. They look pretty solid, though. :>
