These tiles are for a game that's supposed to emulate the Sega Genesis style.

but as far as genesis goes, i never understood why most devs abused so much of black on the game's graphics. and by abusing of black i mean 80% of the game's graphics and flooded with black.

What's that thing to the right that looks like an explosion?
It does remind me of Genesis. That grass+ground is interesting.

Any plans for characters?

The thing that looks like an explosion is supposed to be a snow-covered tree, or snow shaped like a tree, I don't know. It's supposed to represent a snowy tree.

So far the only two characters are the main protagonist, Jake, and the main antagonist, Shadow Dew.
I got bored, so I remade the Mecha Green Hill Zone from Sonic Chaos.

Redid the ice level tiles. I hated the way the old ones looked.

That "snow covered tree" looks like it has pecs and abs.

@Nindo: Uh oh we can't have those muscular trees running around being muscular now can we?
Tried to fix it.

for the tree: break up those masses of white into smaller ones, look for references of some snow-covered trees!
the metal plate tiles seem out of place next to the other tiles, maybe this is due to the different amount of contrast. keep it up!
