I am doing my GCSE in Geography and as such I need to do some fieldwork
My group and I would really appreciate it if you could do this short survey
It is about renewable energy and basically how ignorant/knowledgeable people are to it

Solar Power - It is good for those reasons, however it cant be used at night or in low-light conditions
Wind Power - It is good because, when placed correctly they can pick up lots of wind and, despite what the curriculum says they aren't unsightly
Tidal Power - It is good because it produces lots of energy and can make better uses of dams
Wave Power - It isn't good because so many factors affect it and so can produce different amounts on different days
Hydroelectric - Whats that again? Either way, going by what reasons you gave, it is good because it produces a lot and prevents fish from spawning (how I hate fish!)
Geothermal - isn't good because it is extremely difficult to set up and must be set up in certain areas with perfect conditions and inefficient

But as a side note, I don't think that the start up cost is relevant because over time you are saving up that money and the return is better
