Thanatos-Zero Sprite Workshop
Update.

I enlarged the eye after Previous advice. Added two more frames.

I had to redo the tektites, because I didn't catch the fact that they were mirrored.

Edit: And the Armos, because of a white stray pixel going wrong.

Time to focus more on my Refined X sprites. Any feedback and advice is welcome here. Smile

For Refined X: Having his eyes be pure-cyan makes it a little difficult to see them. They don't really stand out. Did you try having a black and a cyan pixel for the eye, perhaps?

They are otherwise fairly good.

Those redefined sprites do look really good. But like Doc said, the eyes could be more noticeable.

I tried, but the results were for me atleast not pretty.

Anyway... New robot master.

Edge Man (palette is not decided yet)

His design seems to be similar to Zero in some places. You can especially see it in the first palletes of Row 1 and Row 4. If I could suggest a redesign, maybe make one Fin for the head instead of 2. And maybe add blades to his wrists.

Here the redesign.

I could have made the blades on his wrists more longer, but then I would have exceeded the space I have given myself as a limit.
However, for attack sprites he can extend the blades, like the good and old Mustache Man.

Bonus: Edge Man with Alteisen face.

And here the new River Zora (Zola).

Edit: I had to change Edge Man.

I was bored, until my colleague NeoMan inspired me to make pixelart.
Man... This was amazing. Once I put the finishing touches on it, it felt like offical artwork on my hands.
It was like magic. Real magic folks!

Now I am going to share it with you.
My Break Man. Big Grin

Edit1: The clothing was too bright.
Edit2: Fixed the highlights

Looks pretty darn good to me. Actually looks like something Nintendo themselves may have drawn. That's my only concern with this though; this is all fan work. I would love to see you put the same forth effort for your own original ideas; show us what's joggin' in your noggin', and allow us to get attached to your own cast =). Of course, it's all up to you.

Here my next work, my redesigned ghini.

As you can see, the back of the ghini is very different.
My intention was it to make the ghini more horrifying. For that I am trying to portray the face of its last victim. The soul of the victim tries to escape, but it cannot breach the surface layer of the ghini.

I would welcome your help to make the face under the ghini more readable.

Edit: I tried not only to make the face under the layer more readable, but also a back with a large eye on its back.
Edit2: It includes now a variation of the face on the back.

Edit3: I will settle for this.
It is a shame, but I apparently lack the colours for to visualise the face under the ghini better.

Edit4: Utilised some AA. More would ruin the sprite.

Edit5: Now with full shading.

Edit6: Now with a bigger eye.

Update after a long break

Rock Avalanche

Jumping Link

Falling Link
[Image: sW8apix.png]

The last picture was going to look different, but Valu and Previous said to me to change it. Even though they approve it, it looks for me too much like a edit, instead something original. Anyway, these frames are now used for the project.

Here a video.
