Oh my god these are great. It would be so awesome to see this as a project to make all characters npcs and pokemon in this style!
I'd love to help, but If you don't want that (which is fine), I would love to see dragonite, Jasmine, gochiruzeru and rankurusu~

Heh, thanks for the comments guys, and x0_000 thanks for mentioning that, I went and sharpened a few areas a bit around Onix's head. So i'm finally finished with him, well aside from the small oval shaped tail piece, making all those different rocks was really repetitive, it seemed to take much longer than it did.
Baegal, I like the sound of that, if you got the skill to match the sprites then i wouldn't mind the help one bit, i'll be working on Steven Stone, Brock, and Misty next, and then start on your request, unless you'd like to take care of em.
(Pikachu and Eevee need to be touched up, but i'll take care of that later.)

Woah; I like your style!~
Kinda looks like a game I used to play.. erm.. Endless Online was it? Nevermind, off topic.
There's only one thing I /don't/ like, that's pikachu's and eevee's legs.
Pikachu's legs look alittle too pointy, or maybe try making them 1pxl bigger, just to see.
Also, to quote Rosencrantz, Eevee's leg does look alittle bent. :o
PS. Onix's head looks beast, just saying. >.>
A clouded heart cannot preform this task. You're the chosen one; You're the Hero of Time.

That Onyx is awesome.
My only complaint is everyone's so stiff.
Don't be afraid to break off from the "grid". Everything doesn't have to line up, you just have to make sure it looks like the same thing from all 4 angles.

you need to add some shadows onto onix's separate rocks, atm it looks really flat.

@Jarvis: There's no plan for any game (yet?), and sure, I'll make Kurumiru after Baegal's.
@Murderbeard: I know Red and Green/Gary and Blue are pretty stiff-like but everyone?, I get what you're saying though, i'll make an excuse right now and pretend that some of these were meant to be base sprites for future reference, because that's how I roll.
@Baegal: It's not that bad, however, the shading lacks in places, she's looking a bit "noodley" around the arms and hair, and I see spots where you copy/pasted pieces together, I think it's best if I stick to making em for the time being.
(I edited your May a bit, look it over to see what things needed improvement)
@Fish: When you say that, are you saying the seperate rocks should cast a shadow onto each other on the assembled Onix?
Here's the progress, full Onix is kinda big to be placing on the sheet all the time, so i moved him to another one.
Steven isn't finished quite yet, as i'm not satisfied with the way i've shaded him so far, on the other hand, Brock is lookin pretty good.

I see what you did, it does look better (I never was too great with small things anyway~). I think this would go better as a project on your own for now, so there won't be two sprites looking different in style.
I think with steven, his hair needs to be a bit longer, and maybe try making his arms thinner someway so it doesn't make him look chubby?
These are looking good, keep it up!

you're doing a good job and this project looks promising!
the boulders that make up onyx's body look flat, however.
YOU HAVE TO FEEL WHAT YOU DRAW, FEEL
I think that, to make onix's boulders less flat, you could add some good selout.
