Pokemon - Ghost/Steel

Why didn't we get this type combination in Black and White, why? It's a game where the bad guys are fucking KNIGHTS shit Ghost/Steel would have been perfect.

Oh god I don't even know what to do with the second evolution I must have redrawn this thing over fifty times today.

The adorable little distorted helmet with the flaming Ponyta on top is pretty much done, and I already know what I want for his final evolution, I just don't know where to go from here. I'm really in love with the new sketch of his second evolution I drew (head is a place holder, more focused on the torso), but everyone else seems to love the sprite I've already got in progress (the one with the scrawly lines underneath it). I really love the new design but people seem to enjoy the one I've already got going - help?

tldr: Gabe needs to stop being such a goddamn wimp and decide but he wants you to help him do it for himself.

Not really no haha, I've got about 155~ ideas already written down on this computer, just thought I'd have my hand at some of them.

The idea behind this is that he's basically possessing armor. Tye second stage is supposed to be the chest piece area, which him having taken over that main part of it. Bird-ish head is kinda on accident, but I also sorta like it haha.

I really like it. The shoulders look fine to me.
The head on the sketch for the 2nd evolution doesn't really look like a knight's armor, though. It looks more like a bird with hair covering its eyes (unless I'm seeing it incorrectly).

Ghost and Steel? I thought about that, too. I always figured it would be a zombie-like Pokemon. Ghost because it is undead, and Steel because zombies have been known to be physically resilient unless you use fire. As for your concept, the shoulders look okay to me. The legs seem wrong though; I just can't put my finger on how so...

I sudgest maybe the legs should be thicker or something along that line. Why? Because well it's a pokemon. It dosn't look much like one with 'dem skinny legs. But as a completely custom character the legs would be perfect! However, i love your ideas here and i agree completely! Especially love the pre-evolution, you have names for these pokemon? It'd be especially interesting to know what they are. =D

I'm liking the Earthbound vibe! there's some aa that could do with reshaping, and the second stage's legs are off-balance. there also seems to be an angle conflict between the shoulder plates and the torso-face, and the teeth's shading doesn't seem to match with the where the source of light is coming from.
don't hesitate to create several versions to compare results, and keep tinkering with them!
i'm looking forward to more pokémon! what'd be really awesome would be to submit some of the ideas to the reworkshop thread, but that's up to you to see (basically i'd love to give some of your concepts a try)!

If this was Gurren Lagann the final evo's face would be fine but it's not it's Pokemon so I gotta work on that. He's going to be taking place of the horse's head.

Redrew the second evo though - I kinda like how it turned out.

EDITAGAIN: Not Pokemon-style-y, should probably make it so my lines a re more simplistic in their shape. Something less super exaggerated and cartoony.

Seems kind of Disney-ish. Like something we'd see in Kingdom Hearts. Not that that's necessarily bad, mind you. Was that what you were going for?

For the sprite itself, I'd like to see which design you're going to go with before I give comments on how to work on it.
